Healthy Dinner Recipes for Losing Weight
This article is about Healthy Dinner Recipes for Losing Weight. My last two posts had ideas for healthy breakfasts and lunches. Now it is dinner time. Of course there are dozens of healthy dinner recipes for losing weight to choose from. This is just one of them, suggested as before by Good Food magazine. It is an Italian recipe so you could even have a glass of Italian red wine with your meal.
Red wine contains resveratrol which is good for the heart. It also contains calories, so don’t drink too many glasses. But I hope you agree that eating Italian food with even a small bottle of wine shows healthy meals need not be boring meals. Try to buy your beef from a known source and from grass fed animals. That way you will know you are eating good healthy produce. Lean cuts are the best. This is Good Food magazine’s suggested dinner:
Italian Beef Stew
Servings. 4 easily doubled.
Prep. 10 mins.
Cook. 20 mins.
Freezes well to eat later.
1 onion, sliced.
1 garlic clove, sliced.
2 tbsp olive oil.
300g pack beef stir-fry strips, or use beef steak, thinly sliced.
1 yellow pepper, deseeded and thinly sliced.
400g can chopped tomatoes.
Sprig rosemary, chopped.
Handful pitted olives.
In a large saucepan cook onion and garlic in olive oil for 5 minutes until softened and turning golden. Tip in the beef strips, pepper, tomatoes and rosemary, then bring to the boil. Simmer for 15 minutes until the meat is cooked through, adding some boiling water if needed. Stir through the olives and serve with mash or polenta.

That is a healthy dinner and shows that you do not have to live on lettuce to lose weight and keep fit, Some suggest that you don’t go to bed for a couple of hours after eating an evening meal. Others say it doesn’t matter. It is really about burning some of the calories you have just eaten, if you always walk the dog after your meal that is good for both of you.
If you settle down to watch TV it doesn’t matter much whether you do it in bed or on the sofa. To lose weight fast you need to consider one of the short term diets. Choose one that doesn’t make crazy claims about massive weight loss and keep it short term. Then move on to finding more healthy food recipes, eating healthy food and getting plenty of exercise.
